GhostWire: Tokyo, the latest game from developer Tango Gameworks, places you into the shoes of Akito. His goal: to fight off otherwordly spirits after all the other humans in the city have vanished. Akito is able to access supernatural abilities due to a spirit known as KK inside his head. These abilities are known as Ethereal Weaving.

What is Ethereal Weaving in GhostWire: Tokyo?

Utilizing Ethereal Weaving, Akito can employ different elemental abilities like fire, water, electricity, and wind. You will be able to make use of these abilities in your fight against evil spirits. Akito has a few other abilities at his disposal as well. He also has the ability to block projectiles, and perfectly timing these blocks can send the projectile back at enemies. Lastly, there are a number of quick traversal abilities such as a grapple type move.

Though there are times when Akito may get separated from the spirit KK, and no longer have access to these abilities. When this happens, he will need to utilize stealth and more feudal weapons against the spirits such as talismans and a bow.

Players must cleanse the Corrupted Torii Gate in order to clear the dense fog covering a portion of the map around the gate.

Players will need to defeat an enemy that is protecting the gate before they will be able to cleanse it. Once defeated, players can cleanse the blue glow away from the gate, clearing the fog around them. Several Corrupted Torii Gates all over Tokyo will need to be cleansed. Some of the gates vary in size, with the larger ones being protected by tougher enemies. All of the gates will need to be cleansed to clear the sinister fog.

Is GhostWire: Tokyo releasing on Xbox?
