Miles Morales Comes to Fortnite Tomorrow to Celebrate Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Fortnite fans will be able to play as Miles Morales, the star of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, starting from tomorrow, May 23. Epic Games announced the news on Twitter, along with a teaser video that shows Miles swinging through a building and being chased by Spider-Man 2099, another character from the upcoming animated movie.
Miles Morales is the latest Marvel character to join Fortnite’s roster, following Spider-Man, Venom, Carnage, Black Panther, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and many others. He will be available as a skin in the item shop, either separately or as part of a bundle that includes Spider-Man 2099. Both skins will also come with their own back blings, pickaxes, gliders, and emotes.
The crossover is a promotion for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which hits theaters on June 2. The movie is a sequel to the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and follows Miles as he travels across different dimensions with Gwen Stacy and meets various versions of Spider-Man, including Peter B. Parker and Miguel O’Hara (Spider-Man 2099). The movie will also feature Spider-Woman, voiced by Issa Rae, and the Spot, voiced by Jason Schwartzman.
