Kylie Jenner made a bold fashion statement at the 2026 Met Gala on Monday night. Arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the beauty mogul fully embraced this year’s “Costume Art” theme and “Fashion is Art” dress code in a daring custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown designed by Daniel Roseberry.
The 28-year-old Kardashians star stepped onto the red carpet in a skin-colored, rigid corset bodice that was custom-molded to her body. Creating a striking nude illusion, the bustier featured sculpted faux nipples and a detailed belly button. Her dramatic look was completed with a voluminous butter duchess satin skirt that sat low on her hips, crafted to look as though it was falling down to reveal her frame. The intricate skirt reportedly required over 11,000 hours of embroidery work and was embellished with over 10,000 natural baroque pearls, 2,000 satin stitch balls, and thousands of painted pearlescent fish scales.
Jenner accessorized the avant-garde ensemble with an antique silver matching collar necklace and oversized chandelier earrings adorned with crystals and pearls.
To top off her theatrical look, the Kylie Cosmetics founder completely bleached her eyebrows. While on her way to fashion’s biggest night, Jenner took to her Instagram Story to share a selfie, writing, “hold my brows babe i’m walking the met,” and adding, “I don’t have any brows, wish me luck.”
However, the dramatic beauty transformation seemingly came with a cost. Following the prestigious fundraising gala, Jenner reportedly revealed that her eyebrows were completely “ruined” after the bleaching process.
Kylie wasn’t the only member of the Kardashian-Jenner family to get the faux-nipple memo this year. Her older sister, Kendall Jenner, also attended the event sporting a similar risqué breastplate trend. Kendall wore a custom Gap Studio gown designed by Zac Posen, which included a bone-white slouchy dress paired with a sculpted leather faux-nipple bra, drawing inspiration from the Winged Victory of Samothrace.
The 2026 event continues Kylie Jenner’s streak of show-stopping Met Gala appearances, proving once again that she knows how to fully lean into the first Monday in May’s theatrical dress code.
