Parks is returning to RHOA and joining the cast amid a major shakeup, that saw Kenya Moore exit after the start of production of Season 16.
Parks’s RHOA return comes just after Burruss left the show, along with Marlo Hampton, Sanya Richards-Ross, and Parks’s Traitors castmate Shereé Whitfield.
Phaedra Parks is getting her peach back and returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 following a six-season break and newfound fame after The Traitors USA Season 2.
Parks also posted a photo of herself holding a peach as she exited a private jet with multiple pieces of luggage surrounding her.
Phaedra Parks has confirmed her return to ‘RHOA’ as fellow castmate Drew Sidora and former castmate Kim Zolciak have reacted to Kenya Moore‘s reported exit from the show.
On Monday, July 29, Parks took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos of herself apparently hopping off a jet. In the flicks, Parks donned a two-piece bandeau and skirt set along with black pumps. In one hand, she held a pink fur coat and in the other, she carried a peach.
Furthermore, the caption of Parks’ post read, “You called. I answered 🍑#RHOA #S16”
Parks is already having quite a year with her breakout performance on Season 2 of Peacock’s reality competition The Traitors.
With her cunning gameplay and instantly quotable quips (“Oh lord, not Ekin-Su”), Parks quickly became a fan favorite, even to those who had never seen her on Bravo. Parks is also currently a cast member of Bravo’s Married to Medicine, which is set to return for Season 11.
Before being booted from the show at the conclusion of Season 9 in 2017, Parks and Porsha Williams were a fan-favorite duo known as Frick and Frack.
However, she lost her spot on the cast when it was uncovered that the attorney was behind a defamatory rumor alleging that Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, planned to take a drunken Williams back to their alleged “sex dungeon.”
The lie shattered the remaining thread of friendship that the Xscape singer and Parks shared. Since her controversial departure, viewers have pleaded with creator Andy Cohen to extend an olive branch to Parks.
During a 2022 Q&A with his “Watch What Happens Live with Andy” audience he revealed that Parks was among the housewives he would be open to bringing back. “Love Phaedra,” he said, but did not comment on any plans to make the return a reality.
The Old Lady Gang restaurateur could care less about fans and their desires to see her hash out differences with her former friend.
“I don’t owe her s—t, and I would say that to anybody. Not a motherf—king thing. I don’t owe her s—t; she will never get s—t from me,” said Burruss during a 2023 episode of “Speak On It With Jay.”
She further stated, “You can’t defend yourselves against blatant liars, or people who are so spiteful that will make up anything to tear you down and then hide.”
