His close friend Jesse Waits expressed regret in one part of the documentary, saying: “I don’t think anybody really knows why or what happened, nobody really knows what was going through his mind, everybody can speculate.”
Avicii and Tereza Kacerova
Avicii was dating Czech model Tereza Kačerová at the time of his death, though the two kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
After his suicide, however, Kačerová offered the world a peek into their private relationship when she posted several emotional tributes to the late DJ on her Instagram page. One of the posts shared a montage of photos of Avicii, Kačerová and her young son Luka — and revealed that the couple had discussed being a family and even picked out names for future children.

Körberg blames the musician’s manager, Arash ‘Ash’ Pournouri, for the grueling tour schedule he imposed on the DJ in the years leading up to his suicide. In 2016, the DJ announced he would be retiring from touring due to overwork.
Körberg explicitly blames Pournouri’s greed for Avicii’s death, saying that if the artist had a professional company representing him, he would probably still be alive today. “When greed and stupidity go hand in hand, anything can happen,” Körberg said on the Värvet podcast.
