The <strong>Corvette<\/strong> has almost the same output of 495 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, there are significant differences. The <strong>Tesla Model Y<\/strong> weighs 1995 kg, while the Chevy Corvette C8 weighs around 1,632 kg. The Corvette is a rear-wheel drive, while Tesla is a all-wheel-drive setup.<\/p>\n<h5>Drag Race Result<\/h5>\n<p>The two cars perform almost identically at the start line and surprisingly maintain their short distance to the finish line. <strong>Corvette C8<\/strong> had a slight lead at the beginning, although Tesla Model Y close the distance afterward. The <strong>Model Y<\/strong> only beats the <strong>Corvette<\/strong> by a bumper.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-462 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/virlan.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/tesla-Corvette.jpg\" alt=\"The Model Y only beats the Corvette by a bumper\" width=\"700\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Of course, if the drag distance was longer, the Corvette could change the aftermath. Although we wouldn\u2019t expect a huge different outcome.<\/p>\n<p>TFL says the Corvette accelerated from 0 to 96 km\/h in <strong>4.17 seconds<\/strong>, compared to <strong>3.93 seconds<\/strong> of Model Y.<\/p>\n<p>TFL also took the two cars to it&#8217;s track. Corvette set a new record with a time of about one minute.
