Jhené Aiko Lost Her Home in Los Angeles Fires, Is her Family Safe? She Prayed for Everyone

Jhené Aiko is one of the thousands of people who lost their homes amid the devastating fires blazing across Los Angeles this week.

The “Bed Peace” singer took to social media on Thursday (Jan. 9) to reveal that her home was “burned to the ground with all of our things inside,” but her two-year-old son Noah — whom she shares with Big Sean — and 16-year-old daughter Namiko are both safe with her. “Lord have mercy 🙏 Thankful we still have eachother 💙 starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy 💔,” she wrote.

She continued:

“praying for everyone this morning. those who lost their home, those who lost their life’s work, those who lost their life. praying for my city. praying for the wild life and lost pets. praying for the world.”

She’s grateful that she and her family are safe. “Me and my children’s home is gone. burned to the ground with all of our things inside. Lord have mercy. Thankful we still have eachother. starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy,” the mother of two concluded.

Jhené is a mother to her first born daughter, Namiko Love Browner, 16, and shares her son Noah, 2, rapper Big Sean. The two longtime collaborators welcomed their child together in November 2022. “After 24 hours of labor, a total lunar eclipse, and while it was pouring rain… he came. my baby Yoda, my Sani,” the “Stay Ready” singer captioned her post at the time.
