Leena Sayed, the mother of Devin Haney’s child, has addressed the recent controversy surrounding a viral phone call with rapper Young Thug. The American model became the subject of online debate after a clip surfaced showing her speaking affectionately to Young Thug while he was incarcerated. The video gained massive attention, particularly as Sayed shares a child with professional boxer Devin Haney.
In response to the backlash, Sayed took to Instagram to clarify the situation. She explained that the phone call took place before she met Haney and that it occurred in 2022 during Young Thug’s incarceration related to gang activity charges. The viral snippet showed an emotional Sayed telling Thug, “I don’t like anyone… I want you,” which sparked further speculation.
Young Thug, in an attempt to distance himself from the drama, posted on X (formerly Twitter), clarifying that the conversation with Sayed was about unrelated matters and expressing indifference about the situation. “Man me and twin was talking bout some whole other serious s–t. I don’t know why she spoke on loving other people or anything else… Never have, never will,” he wrote.
Sayed reaffirmed her stance, stating that the conversation was from before she met Devin Haney, and emphasized that she would never engage with Thug or any other man in that way now. Despite the controversy, Sayed has kept a low profile within the boxing world, while Haney, her current partner, has yet to comment publicly on the incident. The situation has drawn more eyes on Sayed, who is reportedly pregnant with Haney’s child.
